Proposal

Story Homes has submitted outline proposals to build up to 260 high quality new homes on this site. Our proposals would create a sustainable and integrated development that would make an important contribution to the Borough’s housing supply. Full details of the submitted application can be viewed on Darlington Borough Council’s website using the application reference 16/00976/OUT. Whilst this application  focusses on the principle of development, it does not provide or seek approval for any detailed design proposals such as house types, landscaping and materials. Story Homes is therefore proposing to submit a full and detailed application on the same site area for 260 dwellings which will, in effect, supersede the outline application as well as providing a range of additional design information for the Council to consider. We propose a number of different house types, including a mix of 2, 3, 4 and 5 bed properties, 52 affordable homes, with the layout including Public Open Space, landscape and water course buffers and Public Right of Way connectivity, and access into the site would be provided off Station Road.
