Land south of the A69, Scotby

Scotby

Status: Submitted

Application Type: Detailed Planning Application

Proposal

Story Homes has submitted a full planning application to build 112 high quality new homes on land to the south of the A69, Scotby. Our proposals would create a sustainable and integrated development that would make an important contribution to the local housing supply. The proposed development is for a mix of open market and affordable homes and would deliver a mix of terraced, semi-detached and detached dwellings of between two and five-bedroom properties. We currently anticipate a decision in spring 2022.

Benefits

  • Our proposals will include affordable housing that will be allocated for people with a local connection to the area. The affordable homes are anticipated to include a range of two and three-bedroom properties.
  • Our proposals will support existing local businesses and help create additional employment through new opportunities for local sub-contractors and the supply chain.
  • Our proposals will include a travel plan that will include measures to help reduce reliance on private vehicles. The site would also include a SuDS pond with associated biodiversity benefits.
  • Our proposals will include the creation of new open space for the benefit of local people and new residents alike.
