Alnwick

Status: Submitted

Application Type: Reserved Matters Application

Proposal

Story Homes has submitted a Reserved Matters planning application for 125 new homes on Land North East Of Windy Edge, Alnmouth Road, Alnwick. The proposed scheme is the second phase of development at Windy Edge and will offer a range of two to five bedroom family homes, which will include 15% affordable housing, with a mix of two and three bed affordable rent and affordable ownership homes. This scheme will deliver a number of benefits such as the provision of much needed market and affordable homes, as well as usable areas of amenity open space and integrated landscaping which will create green links and emphasise key views. The proposed development will also improve pedestrian and cycle connections to the neighbouring Alnwick Freeriders Bike Track, as well as delivering environmental benefits which includes the provision of sustainable urban drainage and biodiversity habitat improvements. We anticipate a decision from Northumberland County Council in Spring 2022.
